Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
This site and the TranscriptNotes browser extension do not require an account and do not use tracking cookies or ads.
- When you request a transcript, the site fetches the public transcript of that YouTube video and caches it for up to one day to speed up repeat requests. The cache stores the video ID and the transcript, not who requested it.
- Standard server logs (IP address, time, requested URL) may be kept by our hosting provider for security and are not used for profiling.
- The browser extension processes transcripts locally in your browser and does not send them to us.
If we add optional paid features, this page will be updated before they launch.
